Full-Time Residential Garage Door Installer / Service Technician

Good Boy Garage Doors is a trusted leader throughout the Twin Cities metro area. The garage door industry offers a stable, in-demand career path with strong long-term potential.

We’re currently seeking a motivated, full-time technician to join our team. This role combines installation, service, diagnostics, and repairs—perfect for someone mechanically inclined who wants to grow and earn based on performance.

What You’ll Do

Install new residential garage doors and automatic openers.

Perform service calls and troubleshoot mechanical/electrical issues.

Complete repairs and maintenance

Provide clear, friendly customer communication.

Maintain safe, clean, and organized work sites.

Work flexible hours (Monday–Saturday with optional on-call opportunities).

No Experience? We Provide Top-Notch Training.

We invest in our team because great technicians deliver great results.

4–6 weeks of paid training ($25/hr)

Hands-on training with experienced professionals

Manufacturer certifications (LiftMaster, Chamberlain)

Ongoing education and skill development

After training, compensation shifts to a performance-based model, where top performers can earn strong six-figure income potential.

Job Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old

Valid driver’s license with a good driving record

Mechanical ability (hands-on experience preferred)

Ability to lift 75 lbs and perform physical work

Comfortable working on ladders/heights

Strong communication and teamwork skills
